A bubble bath...

...used to be a place to relax and contemplate the future....each bubble contained a wish, a dream, a hope, a scheme, a plan, a fantasy. As bubbles disappear, one is surrounded by a reflecting pool of mirky water...the blank stare of empty eyes convey the reality.....

'Mr. Bubble' is dead.

Yes, Mr. Bubble is dead, but didn't he bring you pleasure during his short life by doing his job well?

It's one of the secrets to happiness:
NOTHING lasts forever.

When you draw your bath and add the bubble solution, you know up front what will happen. The secret is in concentrating on the positive part of the experience.

"Life is the journey, not the destination."

You're still in transition, and it's hard not to look at how temporary all things are. But it's doubly important to realize how fortunate you are.....
how many people in the world would trade places with you, RIGHT NOW?

Be of good cheer, Di.
It's obvious from the comments here that many care about you.

Well, you are absolutely right. When the plug is pulled, it all goes down the drain...dirty water and all the scum left behind...and I exit cleansed!
