'How our words are understood doesn't depend just on how we express our ideas. It also depends on how someone receives what we're saying. I think the most important part about communicating is the listening 'we' do beforehand. When we can truly respect what someone brings to what we're offering, it makes the communication all the more meaningful.' (FR)

Congrats! you guys are soooo cute together!!
Aww..thank you!! We're having fun so far!! It's an awesome bird..really smart, and as you can see on day three, we have bonded quite well already! I think I'm gonna have a great time with it!!
Now, if I could just come up with a name (I don't know it's gender yet, have to DNA test it...yikes!)...so for now I call it 'Kanoni' which means 'little bird' in African. I figured that would be an affectionate name for it in the meantime. I had originally wanted to call it 'Tenneyson', but it LOVES music..so...hmmm....maybe something like 'Mozart' or 'Keith Urban'?! Ha! Any suggestions?
I'm no bird expert, and I don't play one on TV.
My business partner raises birds of all sorts.....finches to Macaws.
I recall him saying that African Greys get accustomed to one person, and can be difficult for others to handle......not a problem for you, if it is your bird.
They are smart as whips....I think in some cases smarter than a 4 yr. old human. Ever seen the one identifying shapes, colors, textures? Amazing.
Two nice lookin' birds in that pic, from my point of view!
You are too kind!!! Thanks!!
I have not seen the one you mentioned...got a link?!
I'm not just saying this because it is MY bird, but this seems to be a very intelligent one!! I got lucky it seems!! :))
